Until April 2017, I have always worked for someone else. I spent 15 years in the teaching profession. I spent my career progressing through leadership roles in schools before moving onto a new school and progressing again. I had always thought that working for someone else was the most secure type of work. I succumbed to temptation, and as Head of Biology, I did all I could to make sure the students achieved high grades on their coursework. This resulted in me leaving the teaching profession. Going from my own flat and no food, or bills or any kind to staying with friends and family and having to find money for my next meal. Without the generosity and love of family and friends, I sincerely believe I would not be here today to write this.
I did find another way to survive, and not only survive, but a chance to flourish and make a real success of myself. I decided to become an entrepreneur. I spent thousands of pounds training with Tony Robbins and absorbing as much information from books, audios, and videos from the most successful entrepreneurial men and women on the planet. I put all this to good use and started the journey of personal development.
I was made aware of multiple streams of income (not putting all your eggs in one basket). My eyes were opened to the fact that 100 years ago, the majority of people worked for themselves and now the majority of people work for someone else. The shift has gone from being responsible for your own future and the future of your family to having someone else responsible for whether you can pay the rent, bills, and afford to go on holiday.
Whilst my exit from teaching was a very traumatic experience for me, I felt like it was the trigger for me to wake up and see another way. That is what I want to do for you. To show you need not work 40 to 100+ hours per week and be tied to that until you are in your 70’s to afford the life you want.
If you would like to know more then please get in touch. I would love to hear from you.
Have an amazing day
